Each SteelSun cell has a QR code on it to keep track of the exact conditions of each production step. This ensures consistent quality.
Each SteelSun panel is made of cells, starting with high-quality stainless steel, and then coated with semiconductor materials only a few micrometers thick. The result is a solar module that is thin, light, and flexible. SteelSun solar panels are 2 mm thick versus 100.0 mm thick for traditional silicon solar cells.

SOLAR ENERGY IS THE PUREST MASS OF SOLAR ENERGY ON THE PLANET
SteelSun solar module manufacturing process is very environmentally friendly compared to traditional silicon solar panels production:
- 10 times lower CO2 emissions
- very low power consumption
- uses an extremely thin light-absorbing CIGS layer
- no glass
- no aluminum frame
- minimum recycling costs for end-of-life modules
STEELSUN LIGHTWEIGHT CIGS MODULES HAVE THE LOWEST CARBON FOOTPRINT AMONG THE TYPES OF SOLAR PANELS ON THE MARKET

Does not rely on toxic chemicals. No lead, cadmium, hydrofluoric acid, or hydrochloric acid.

Requires less water to manufacture and recycles the little water used

Materials are recycled when spent.

Unlike fossil fuels, SteelSun solar panels do not produce pollutants or release CO2 into the atmosphere as they generate energy.

80% less energy to produce than Silicon.
